Loved the food... another hidden gem.. great prices and service...but really great food. Great renovations guys..keep up the great work.

Steak Sandwich and Greek fries are excellent and the milkshakes are legendary

Been going there since the TTC was a dime, since the renovation it's still great.

Been coming to this place for about 35 years. An institution in the area. Not a big fan with the new and simple design after the renovations though there is a larger seating area than before. Great treat every now and again.

The new renovation of this place has truly turned it around for the better. A nice place to hang out, have a burger or some Greek food. Clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Best burger joint on St. Clair West. I've grown up with their burgers to the point that they have beaten Harvey's when they were there in the good ole days. I always go there after midnight and get myself a steak on a bun and the onion rings which are a MUST.

Service was great, super friendly. Steak on a bun was delicious.

French fries have the potential to be great but I feel that they are blanching too man at a time and they are sitting in the walk in too long before the second fry. This gives them a less smooth center and subtle freezer taste. Gravy is lacking in flavour and richness. The menu could use an actual fried chicken breast sandwich instead of chicken fingers on a bun that feel like two weasels fighting in a pillow case. Souvlaki was good but I can't understand why a restaurant of this nature would not have a hot sauce to put on it.

One of the best spots in Toronto for a steak on a bun, or onion rings. They’re steak on a buns and onion rings are massive - literally. They have a variety of options when it comes to food and I haven’t come across something bad on the menu. They’re very quick, despite how busy they can be. Great late night spot , or afternoon spot... even morning spot as they have breakfast. They recently did renovations In there .... I do prefer their old layout than the new one as they have now used up a big chunk of the parking lot, so it’s pretty hard to get parking there as your limited to about 5 spaces and the place is always busy.

Love this place, it's a must try.

You may want to check Dairy freeze of your list, if you like a classic charbroiled burger. Dairy Freeze shares a similar to the old school vibe as Golden Star and Burger Shack; however; their burgers lack the seasoning and overall quality of its rivals. The burgers are under-seasoned and the ketchup and mustard are used to add any flavour. The milkshakes are cement, and think "Frosty"... it would be better with a spoon than a straw. I'd recommend sticking with the classics like the burger or the steak on a bun, before ordering the souvlaki which was dry and similar to other items lacked the seasoning and flavour I was hoping for. I'm happy I finally tried DF as it's a classic establishment of the community. I would return, but only if I am in the area.

They use to be a terrible restaurant with people even reporting that there were rats in the facility. Although, now it looks like they completely renovated and the food there is great. It looks like they changed the employees that use to be there as well, all in all the change was positive, great choice Dairy Freeze.Keep it up!

A random dinner looking late night snack spot I stopped by. It was near midnight they were brightly colored we went in. My friends had a sunday(pineapple, strawberry, strawberry) and an ice cream cone. It was a plentiful amount, nice and soft.Parking is terrible though.

The girls at the cashier and burger prep were super friendly and my bacon burger was good but the fries were not fresh...The place overall was clean but the washroom was satisfactory

Vanilla milkshake was super delicious! Highly recommend!!Burger reminded me of what you would get at a canteen at football game for kids: yummy but not life changing.

Really glad this place reopened. My dad has been coming here since 1952! Beautiful new interior, same great taste. Welcome back!

The amount of food you get for the price is phenomenal but the quality is somewhat questionable. The steak was some sort of a mystery meat as was the hamburger. The fries were spectacular however.I was excited for the renovations to be done as I drive by this place often but now I'm feeling I wouldn't miss this place if it didn't open back up. There are some improvements to be made

It was beyond fantastic, I went with my buddy for a homemade burger at sunside on st clair but it was closed for the day at about 4pm , so I was heading to good old reliable Harveys but on the way we remember this place. All renovated , looking good by the way , but we were gambling , new place maybe not so good ? Oh well lets take a chance , what a good move #1 the best of the best .lol onion rings were amazing in homemade batter , banquet burger was incredible, and the staff was friendly .. Will definitely be back. Good job Dairy Freeze , thanks

Had a hot hamburger dinner. Good portion, fresh and tasty. Hit the spot for lunch. Will be back for sure to try some of the other dishes. Staff is very friendly as well.

I've been going to this place for the last 37 years, burgers have gotten abit smaller but they still taste the same, they're frozen patties. Steak sandwiches are great and they don't shy away from giving you extra toppings. I've tried the souvlaki, it's good as well. I'm not a fan of the onion rings. The sandwiches can get abit messy at times, get plenty of napkins before sitting down.

I felt the prices a bit higher than I expected.The service and food are just ok .I wouldn't say I got in love with them but let's just say are regular. Not an Amazing Taste . Is very popular .. ? Yes it is .Is very Good ..? Not so bad Not so good .

Quintessential burger place! Recent Reno is great; place is clean and comfy now. Food is awesome! Steak on a bun and souvlaki on a bun , can't go wrong!! Maybe the best onion rings in the city but price/portion is a bit off.A must try, only 1 negative - limited parking but park on a side street and walk

I like it. The menu is rather limited. But it is all fairly new and very clean & professional. Also excellent washroom

I really love this place, and the food is fantastic. They have a great deal of diner-esque selections, and some unique items like a triple patty burger, or the steak on a kaiser. Everything is delicious - but there is one problem. There are no combos. This means that while the burgers and sandwiches are very cheap, you have to buy the fries and drinks separately, and the price tag ends up being rather high, in the ballpark of 15 dollars for a full meal. Again, the food is great, but I really wish they had a combo option.

Good food, good price, a little disorganized behind the counter, food expedition could go a bit more smoothly, but like I said, the food was pretty good, especially the onion rings and they don't skimp on the toppings.

I've been going here more than 20 years.. they just renovated the place. Looks great. Great burgers. Great steak.

Ok folks....if you are looking for some of the best food in the city...you have to try this place out. Have been coming here for 40 years. I miss this place since we moved to Mississauga but for those in the area...you have to go there. The burgers are the best and they really do have the best fries and gravy that I've ever had. If I could rate this place a 7 I would....give it a try.

Love this place. Been going there for 45 years. They did a good job on the renovation. I hope they put patio tables outside. They have really good food here. Love the chicken fingers on a bun. Really friendly owner and staff.

If your into the stand alone, homemade in house kind of food, this is the place for you. From tasty Hailbut and chips to their most popular streak on a bun, you'll be wanting to try this place multiple times to try everything on the menu.

I always get the chicken souvlaki with fries♡ from here and it's always delicious and my husband always get the fish and chips and that's his favourite

I've been going here for decades so I'm nostalgic. But, seriously, what happened? Overall, the reno is good, but, the extra space is for who exactly? The bathrooms were never good, but, they are cleaner. And it looks like there's another set of owners. Again. Burgers aren't great, fries are chalky. The steak on a Kaiser looks better. I'll go again, I have since 1980, but, it's just out of nostalgia.

Always hits the spot.. totally recommend steak on a Kaiser or banquet burger! Late hours have made this spot a go-to after a night out for sure.

I ordered steak on a bun, onion rings, milk shake and bacon burger. Love steak on a bun very much, big, juicy and yummy. Great place for family.
